movie!Adrien is a selfish douchebag
I've seen a lot of criticism of the movie, but I haven't seen this one yet, so let's talk about the most damning evidence of all: he is pissed off Ladybug rejected him, so he ignores the Akuma signal, let's LB fight on her own, she nearly dies, and when he finally shows up to rescue her he's like "man your boyfriend sucks I'm so much better."
Here are Netflix timestamps to verify (along with the dialog in question):
1:16:30 Adrien's ring is telling him there's an akuma attack, and he says to himself "the less interested you are, the more they run after you" and ignores the signal to stay in bed because if he lets LB fight on her own, she'll fall in love with him??
cut to LB rescuing civilians, fighting Hawkmoth by herself, etc.
1:17:20 Plagg is like GET THE FUCK UP JESUS CHRIST LET'S GO
1:17:34 Ladybug is nearly knocked unconscious, laying on the ground helpless, about to get murdered by some laser like smoke stuff shooting right at her and Chat finally shows up and grabs her just in the nick of time. Had he delayed even a second longer, she would've been killed.
immediately after, she's almost unconscious and he says "looks like you do need me after all"
LB then says "nice of you to show up"
Chat, like a fucking douche shrugs, looks haughty at her, and says "your boyfriend too busy to lend a hand?"
So, in summary,
Adrien is mad Ladybug (gently) rejected him, refuses to help her, delays for minutes, finally Plagg convinces him to go, he shows up like one millisecond before she is killed, and then is like "wow i thought the boy you liked more than me was gonna help you, i guess i'm better huh" HE RUBS IT IN THAT HE SAVED HER!!!
Movie adrien doesn't deserve Marinette or the ring (and by the way, they never show us why Plagg the walking fart joke even picks Adrien, but it's certainly not bc Adrien does anything heroic)
In the end, what pisses me off most is the plot proves Adrien right: a but-for cause of Ladybug falling in love with Chat Noir was him putting her life in danger by playing hard to get.
EDIT OK to be clear Adrien definitely knows there's an akuma attack because he lifts his hand off his bed, looks RIGHT AT the flashing ring, and THEN says "the less interested you are..." before putting his ring hand back on the bed to ignore it. He absolutely knew there was an attack. We are specifically shown that he chooses to ignore it. See screenshot, and thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

Watched the MLB movie finally! While I had a few Notes, all in all I enjoyed it, the animation was so pretty and I was really impressed how they condensed so much stuff into one movie
#like sure they changed stuff and moved stuff around#and things were left out (for a possible sequel?)#but as an adaptation it's pretty good i think#if they had tried to cram anything more into One Movie it would've ended up a jumbled mess#i think they made a good choice in doing the origin story and the hawkmoth plot as the main things#and have other adventures as a montage of the heroes growing closer as time goes on#and i feel like marinette was written better than in the show imo#sure it's been a while since i've watched the show so idk what's going on there right now but still#my only Notes tm for the moment are basically how adrien got the ring and how adrinette met#and that's about it#like we should 100% have been SHOWN Why adrien was chosen too and not just Have The Ring Show Up you know?#and i personally really liked the origin story of adrinette being marinette not caring about adrien's money or looks or status#and kind of being like :/// about him because she thinks he's a rich douche#but then finding out how KIND that boy is and THEN starting to fall for him#the movie version was Fine i guess but i would've liked to see the 'oh shit he's actually super nice i was wrong'#it was just so basic 'girl meets boy and falls in love' meet cute and while there isn't anything WRONG with that.. idk#it's just more boring than 'dude you kinda suck - except holy shit you don't? you're really nice?? oh no'#and it made marinette's crush seem different from how everyone fawns over adrien because of his status#otherwise though? can't really think of much to complain about#the songs were a Surprise for sure but i personally didn't mind them i love movie musicals#however there were a bit too many of them maybe? or idk#maybe the songs could've been tweaked a bit to stand out more imo but that's probably more a me thing than anything#hawkmoth's song slapped though lol#i was basically like ??????????? and :DDD at the same time (positive)#also i laughed so fucking hard at the end screen cut lmaooo#anyyyway i'm probably gonna reblog gifsets now bc man the animation was prettyyy#personal#miraculous ladybug#mlb movie

EVEN MORE SPOILERS FOR SEASON 6
I figured since I already read it, I'd give my thoughts on the recent interview Astruc and Thibaudeau took part in.
Due to incompatibility with the new animation engine, SAMG will not be working on the next seasons of ‘Miraculous’. The series is now being developed entirely in France, with the integration of Dwarf Animation.
Okay, props for no more outsourcing, even if I'm not sure what this means for the other ZAG shows.
Season 6 is considered to be “a new beginning”, aside from being a new story arc. It is sometimes referred to by the writers as Season 1.
I'm sure that isn't confusing to the executives at all. Also, maybe don't imply you're starting from scratch when you're already reusing the plot of the main villain using the Butterfly Miraculous.
The writing team already has concrete ideas for how Seasons 7, 8 and 9 will begin and end. They also have ambitions to make it to a Season 12, only if the support of viewers and executives allows them to do so. With this, they emphasize the fact that they would not continue with the show if it were no longer needed or interesting.
So basically, they're planning to keep this up for as long as they can until someone pulls the plug.
The opening of the sixth season is still undecided. They are still discussing whether they will change the musical arrangement or not. Thomas also considers the possibility of making a brand-new theme song. A song has been confirmed for S6. They have the music, the arrangement and a female singer. The character remains unknown.
Imagine how funny it would be if they brought back the woman who sang for Marinette in the movie instead of having Cristina Vee sing again.
Despite leaving Paris at the end of ‘Revolution’ (5x23), Chloé Bourgeois will return in Season 6.
youtube
Putting aside all the things I've said about her "damnation arc", what is even the point of bringing her back at this point? She has no powers, no influence, no allies, and isn't a threat of any kind. This makes her not being the next Hawkmoth make even less sense, becuse she has more of a reason to hate Ladybug than Lila does.
Also, with the news that Chloe is coming back, this means that she essentially escaped punishment or at least found a way to rebound like Lila did. So that's a grand total of ZERO villains who actually got punished for their actions after five seasons. I'm starting to think Ladybug and Cat Noir really suck at their jobs.
Sebastien Thibadeau: “[Cerise] (IOTA: I'm still calling her Lila for simplicity's sake) is a villain without costume. She is a villain all the time. There is a reason why, but this reason, neither I nor Astruc will reveal to you yet.” Interviewer: “You mean you already intend to tell it?” Thomas Astruc: “Yes. And you know what, we have already told it, but you haven’t noticed.”
Translation: Ladies and gentlemen, LET'S GET READY FOR RETCOOOOOONNNNS!
Seriously, we are approaching the sixth season of this show. It has been eight years since Lila first appeared all the way back in "Volpina", and we still know nothing about her other than the fact that she has some three moms for some reason. You can't pull the whole "This is something you need to rewatch to understand!" excuse because the last two seasons hinged on breaking the rules about Sentimonsters.
Speaking of, I love how this comment about Lila accidentally implies that Gabriel never did anything evil when he wasn't Hawkmoth/Shadowmoth/Monarch. All that emotional abuse and isolation Adrien suffered was all out of love!
Thomas Astruc on Chloe redemption arc: “We put the characters in situations, and then we say to ourselves: “what would be the logic?” How would the character logically react in “such and such” a situation? And we tried, we tried everything. But every time, we say to ourselves: “if we write this, it’ll be wrong”. There’ll be no reason, it’ll come out of nowhere, the fact that she’ll face something nice and say: “Oh, I’ve been horrible, Marinette what have I done! From now on, I’ll be...” No, nonsense. I understand people’s desire for Chloe to be nice. I’d like that too. But I’d like it if in real life, people with a lot of power suddenly started doing nice things. But Chloé has no interest in changing. She has no reason to change, unfortunately.”
Ah, yes because Gabriel (Global terrorist and abusive parent), Felix (Betrayed Ladybug and temporarily wiped out all of humanity on a whim), Nathalie (Willing accomplice to Gabriel) Andre (corrupt politician and Chloe's primary enabler), Sabrina (Willing accomplice to Chloe) all had compelling reasons to change their ways.
Also, "I've been horrible, what have I done?"
MY BROTHER IN CHRIST, THAT'S HOW VIRTUALLY EVERY REDEMPTION ON THIS SHOW IS EXECUTED.
The fact that he's seriously acting like he actually wanted to write a redemption arc is insulting. Not only does it ignore all the things he's said to fans who were upset at the turn of events, but it makes no sense for him to take this stance because he's a writer. If Chloe turning a new leaf is too strange of an idea, then write an actual character arc allowing her to progress to a state where she recognizes what she's done is wrong. You control the character for God's sake! It's not like you're training a dog to stop humping the couch. You can change things to make a redemption arc possible.
In other words, Astruc is either lying to save his ass, or THIS IS WHAT THOMAS ASTRUC ACTUALLY BELIEVES about writing characters.
Sebastien Thibadeau talks about Andre's character development: In contrast to Chloe, “Andre Bourgeois evolved as a character because we had already imagined a back story. He had the potential to change, and that’s where the beautiful scene comes from — I think it’s magnificent — between Gabriel and himself on the roof of the Grand Palace, where he says: “But Gabriel, what’s become of us? We’ve forgotten the kids we used to be”. But we [writers] know what kids they used to be, and we’d like to tell the story one day, to show what young kids they were, when they were struggling through Paris and weren’t yet what you’ve come to know in the series. He’s sad about what’s happening to his daughter [Chloe], and he’s trying to change it, but he can’t. He is proof that a character can change.”
This. This right here is what cinched it for me. I've tried for years not to say it because it's a word that has been flung around a lot over these last few years, but I feel like this little snippet is enough of a reason for me to say it.
These writers are sexist.
They may not believe it, but whether they intended for it or not, they wrote a story arc where a grown man was shown to have more sympathetic qualities than his daughter. How the hell can you defend it in a way that doesn't highlight the misogyny that this show runs on?
The fact that they gush over how much "potential" Andre had right after saying how that same kind of potential wasn't enough of a reason to attempt a redemption arc with Chloe really shows how confusing their priorities are. I'm sorry to keep saying this, but for a show that takes a heavy anti-capitalist philosophy, it seems like the members of the 1% are the characters who get the most depth and sympathy... unless you're under 18 and lack a Y chromosome, that is.
A meeting will be set up in the coming weeks to decide on whether or not to make a live-action for ‘Miraculous’, Thomas Astruc reveals.
As a former Arrowverse fan, I'm willing to see this out. Not only did the Netflix One Piece series prove you can make an animated property work in live-action, Ladybug & Cat Noir: The Movie managed to do really well even without the usual writers behind it.
Thomas when asked about Gabriel’s wish in ‘Re-Creation’ (5x26) and whether he brought Emilie back to life: “All the answers are in the episode.”
For the love of--STOP SAYING THAT!
You keep claiming that we just need to rewatch the episode to understand things, but between the continuity errors and abandoned subplots, it's hard to tell what's important and what isn't. Either say "No comment" or give us an honest answer.
If people are still confused about how the season ended after almost a year, and you keep giving answers like this:
Tumblr media
Maybe you need to change the way you tell the story.
Astruc when asked about ‘The Supreme’: “Oh, if only you knew... Nothing we do is meaningless.”
Tumblr media
Sebastien Thibadeau on Season 7: “Once you’ve seen the start of season 7, I can swear you’ll watch season 6 a second time. That’s all I can say.”
Because it'll make Season 6 look like a masterpiece by comparison?
Thomas Astruc on the worldbuilding: There are Kwamis and Renlings, what makes you think there aren’t others [creatures]?
I swear, by the time we get to Season 10, we're going to get stuff like aliens, demons and talking mushrooms, or at least something ludicrous like that.
Zoe had a love at first sight when she met Marinette in ‘Sole Crusher’ (4x07), they confirm.
Of course! That's why it wasn't framed any differently from something like the umbrella scene and Zoe showed absolutely no signs of attraction to Marinette! It's genius!
Executives had Thomas write several alternative concepts for ‘Miraculous’, very different from what we know today or even the early PV. Among them, “a concept where Ladybug is the head of a group of superheroines, like Sailor Moon. There was no love story.”
Can you imagine a world without the Love Square?
Tumblr media
The script writers’ favorite episode is ‘Simpleman’ (4x19) as it represents a personal, work and family attachment. Marinette’s grandfather, Roland Dupain, is inspired by Thomas Astruc’s grandfather.
Okay, either Astruc had a complicated relationship with his grandpa or he's been dead for years. While I understand that older generations have outdated views (for example, my great-grandmother yelled at me for saying I wanted to learn Japanese because "They tried to kill us!"), the fact that a caricture of a grumpy old man was based on his grandpa is a little concerning.
Also, between this and Sabine being based off an old flame of his, this only makes the theory that Chloe is based off a real person Astruc knew more plausible.
Astruc: “This is why our work is so difficult. We have to manage to bring in this generation of younger ones, and at the same time, we have to satisfy the generation that was here before and that grows with the series.”
First, if you're trying to please older fans, maybe don't get into fights with them on Twitter.
Second, you made a thread after "Simpleman" aired where you insulted fans for not getting the "meta" element to the episode and compared them to the character you just said was based on your grandfather.
Tumblr media
You've also been burning away a lot of the older fans' goodwill over the years. Trust me, I have a few examples.
Despite sharing a similar appearance, the symbol on Nino’s T-shirt is not related to Hack-San.
Okay, is this a fan theory I missed back when Season 4 was airing? Why would anyone draw that conclusion?
Thomas Astruc talks about Season 6: “I’ll say it sincerely, I was very doubtful at the end of Season 5. I said to myself: “if we were to continue, how would we exceed?” Well, we did. It’s been a great season. The new writers have brought us a lot of great stuff. All the episodes we’ve written in Season 6 are fabulous. Each episode is on point, there is no unnecessary lines. All the scenes are really interesting, really well-crafted.”
Translation: Tons of filler, bad comedy, reused Akumas, and more Love Square drama that we're trying to claim hasn't been done before.
Thomas when asked if Marinette will get akumatized: “We never give any information about what may or may not happen.”
JUST. SAY. NO. COMMENT.
There are many important details throughout the series that no one has noticed. Thomas says that when we see the next seasons, we’ll think, “Oh, the writers had it all planned.”
You know, like how Season 3 established that Sentimonsters can be sent out of control by Cataclysm a few episodes before Adrien, a Sentimonster, gets hit by a Cataclysm and is affected in a different way. It was all planned from the beginning.
The Ladybug PV was an animation test and was not intended to be public. Jeremy Zag decided to leak it himself.
Honestly? Dick move on Zag's part. You have to wonder how pissed off Astruc was.
According to Thomas Astruc, what the ‘Miraculous’ series is today represents only 5% of what he wrote in the original bible he presented to Jeremy Zag. “The universe has evolved a lot since. I don’t know if the ideas I put there will be reused someday. It was very extensive.”
Tumblr media
Thomas Astruc and Sebastien Thibadeau discuss the parallels between Marinette and Gabriel: Astruc: “Gabriel’s personal back story is the cause of his misery, not his will. And above all, it creates a beautiful mirror with Marinette, which is what’s interesting. They both have a lot of love for Adrien, they’re both designers, they both have a Miraculous, but it’s other choices.” Thibadeau: “That’s what makes it a great hero-villain contrast. Even if they don’t know it from the start, they have a real point in common. As we see at the end of Season 5, they both love Adrien. Except there’s one who does it by doing the right thing, and then there’s another who does it by doing the wrong thing, hurting people, to get there.”
And the one who did the wrong thing by hurting people ended up winning. What does that say about the contrast?
------------------------------------------------------------------
And that's it for the interview. I have to say Season 6 does not look pretty so far.

So, I haven’t seen the London Special, just seen the reactions, but it is really hammering home to me how much of the plot could be … not “fixed”, but at least “untangled” if Mari had literally ANY CONNECTION to Gabriel that didn’t involve Adrien. Like, her mentor, an old family friend, her godfather, her dad’s old college buddy, just … ANYTHING that made Marinette connected to Gabe on a personal level. It still wouldn’t make her lying to Adrien ok, but it at least would make it more sympathetic. Cause then she isn’t just lying to Adrien, she’s lying to HERSELF, because if she tells Adrien, then she has to acknowledge that actually, Gabe kind of sucked. Like, “cool motive, still murder” - yeah, you tried to revive your wife, and you loved your kid, but you were a dick, man. Marinette having ANY connection to Gabriel that is more personal than “my crush’s dad” would make the entire thing at least a little easier to understand. As it is, it comes across as Marinette, I’m not sure this is the right word, but almost “infantilizing” Adrien. She’s making decisions for him, denying him agency in his own life, because she’s decided she knows what’s best for him.
And like, Mari’s a kid who had a hell of a lot heaped on her shoulders, I get where the mindset probably came from, but Marinette’s only major connection to Gabriel in canon is that he’s Hawk Moth and she’s Ladybug. And while yes, that is a big connection, it also isn’t personal? Like. Gabe’s relationship with Marinette is basically nothing, if you take out the Miraculous stuff. Marinette is just some girl who goes to the same school as his son, is a rather promising designer, and … that’s kind of the extent of their interaction. Without the Miraculous, they barely qualify as acquaintances. If Marinette isn’t Ladybug, or Gabriel wasn’t Hawk Moth, there would be basically nothing there. And while I can make an argument that Ladybug absolutely has a say in what to tell the PUBLIC, that keeping up the ruse with them MIGHT be … not GOOD, but the lesser of two evils, I don’t think Ladybug/Marinette has any right in denying that info to Adrien. It’s his damn dad, he has a right to know what happened. Hell, even just about his mom! He has a right to know what happened to her!
And on a quick swerve, it actually annoys me that Ladybug hasn’t told Chat Noir. Like, the guy is your partner, you’ve been fighting this thing since day one together, on the superhero side of things, he ALSO deserves to know who the hell the pair of them have been duking it out with. Like, I’m aware identity shenanigans are afoot, but if Ladybug has the right to make this kind of call, then Chat should also get that right, which means LADYBUG SHOULD TELL HIM.
(… I will admit, this might all be bothering me less if my dad hadn’t been playing Hallmark movies all day, and I hadn’t been forced to sit through at least 12 separate scenarios where literally TALKING TO A PERSON would solve all the problems. But like … 8 times out of 10, when someone says, “don’t tell anyone I did this thing”, it is A) something you should PROBABLY tell someone, or B) something that is going to blow up later if you keep it a secret.)
-
Yeah no like!
On top of wanting some acknowledgement that this is well-intentioned but fucked up to do
the whole thing about Mari having no investment in the identity reveal past ‘ah that’s my bf’s dad’ has bothered me for a while because REALLY she should have some connection and they already set it up but never did anything with it.
But Marinette lying to herself and trying to convince herself that her mentor/friend is a Good Person despite the fucked up things he did would be a lot better than ‘uwu I don’t want to tell Adrien that his father fucking sucked despite the fact that Adrien is already VERY aware that his father fucking sucks’.

Do you have any Gabriel salt fics? I sometimes feel like you salt more on Adrien than him
Of course I salt on Adrien. It's like adding a bit of salt to a bland dish to give it flavor because it's still worth the time and effort even if you don't particularly like it otherwise.
Gabriel is just shit. There's no point trying to add salt to make it appetizing. I've written entire essays on how much of an idiot he is. I expect nothing from this character.
But if you want to know my stories that make fun of Gabriel or call out his stupidity or horribleness...
Gabriel's Lament - where Gabriel makes the Wish and it doesn't go well for him. Plagg manages to take some revenge, however little he can get.
Take Out The Trash - Dolls AU where Gabriel tries to throw Littlebug away and she does not take kindly to this.
My-Crack-Ulous: The Movie Trailer - Just crack that pokes fun at the setup and Gabriel in general.
Papa's Day - Another Dolls AU where Gabriel sucks as a Dad and Adrien realizes he's a better one.
My-Crack-Ulous: Akumaid - More crack and Gabriel suffers.
Dolls at Play - More Dolls and more callout specifically at Gabriel.
Guardian Assistant Kevin - Where Villain Assistant Kevin takes Marinette as a client and calls out a lot of things including Hawk Moth.
Banned Movie List - More Dolls where they watch movies and get ideas.
Akuma-ed - More Dolls where Gabriel tries to akumatize the Dolls and it does not work out for him.
Oneshot where Gabriel messes with human-turned-Chaton and Adrien does NOT approve
The Hero of Paris - a one shot pointing out how stupid it was for Gabriel to transform on a TRAIN.
...
So yeah, a number of them are Dolls AU, but they really don't like him and he deserves it.
I've also got Gabriel essays and a tag I've often used literally called "Gabriel Is An Idiot"/"Hawk Moth Is An Idiot", but not sure if you want those.

Softly Sinful - An Adrien Brody/Reader One Shot Story.
Bit of Adrien smut for an otherwise quiet, Sunday afternoon, besties? Here ya go!
Tumblr media
Words - 1,448
Warnings - Smut below the cut, minors DNI!
You always wondered how it’d feel, how a man who kissed you until you lost your breath would delight you when those kisses finally found their way between your legs. You imagined it on the first date, the second, and now after the third, it’s virtually the only thing on your mind.
In truth, it was likely longer ago. Before you even met him, you witnessed the tongue waggle scene in the movie he starred in, See How They Run. It was salaciously rapid. It made you clamp your thighs. It elicited a primal noise in the back of your throat you knew could only be matched if you experienced the man actually using the weapon in his mouth upon you in reality.
And now, here you are, pinned beneath him. He has the most gorgeous body you’ve ever seen, lean muscles concealed beneath peachy soft skin, your hands delighting in their glide as they explore the expanse of him. He shivers against your touch, mouth leaving yours to rain keen over your flesh.
Beneath his kisses, ever lowering, you bloom, like a flower opening in the morning light. The warmth of his mouth is delectable against your nipples, each stiffened peak sucked and licked, his big, strong hands sliding down your sides.
Despite him being lean, he feels heavy atop you, his body shutting out the rest of the world, a barrier between everything and you, carved muscles flexing in his back a beautiful display your eyes feast upon as the late afternoon light. And to think, it was simply meant to be coffee and a walk, why you met him today. It became abundant halfway through said stroll that you both had something much more vigorous in mind, how to spend a perfect Spring afternoon.
Those golden rays shine much like your arousal, brightening beneath him, his tongue dancing over your hips as you shudder with anticipation. You need the full awakening now, legs parting more for him, your pubic mound kissed as your thighs are stroked, a gasp fluttering over your lips.
The anticipation? It’s murder upon your senses.
The sweeping flush of pleasure is immediate and intense, his tongue gliding into your slit with the firmest of licks, your scent like a heady fragrance to him, your taste bathing his tongue like a fine wine. Oh, god. Finally. The blade of his tongue stiffens against you, your body rolling up against his mouth, your clit starting to harden as it’s bathed in the warm wet of incessant circles, forcing gasps and little whines from your mouth.
A bass rumble is added when he moans around a mouthful of your cunt, intense eyes opening to find yours over the rise of your breasts, sunlit moss green staring at you intently before like the feathers of a crow wing, his thick, dark lashes flutter to conceal the emerald blaze within, closing as his cheeks hollow and he sucks at you with hunger.
You stray from him slightly, the pleasure making you wiggle away, body wracked with oversensitivity. His hands grip your thighs, holding you still as his mouth buries into your slick heat again, so firm and consuming, you cannot help but whimper.
His mouth conjures the most intense heat, tingles and swells of pleasure prickling your clit as he rolls his tongue up and down, lazy and soft, alternated with the firm quickening you’ve been fantasising about, your soft moans helpless and sweet, pattering the air with his heavy grunts of lust.
You taste beautiful to him, like sharp caramel, sweet with a kick, a flavour his mouth constantly craves as his tongue burrows inside of you, nose pushing against your bud as he tastes you on the inside.
Fuck. He’s even better than you could have ever imagined.
He continues to eat you rapaciously, like a half-starved man, the slick soft of your cunt his nourishment as his tongue laps and licks, swallowing your dew hungrily. Your legs shake against the sides of his head as beauty unimaginable floods you, your hands tugging his dark hair as you cry out.
His eyes open, his pupils bleeding black into green, tongue beating hard against your clit, seeking out the release you so crave, beckoning it to him like sorcerer chasing out a spirit. His lips ensnare your nub, sucking, his groans vibrating, making you shriek as your body beads sweat, everything coiling and tightening.
His thirst for your release almost matches yours, the throbbing pounding through you as your muscles tense, your legs writhing against his head as each soft pant signals your ascent, closer, and closer, and closer. His mouth is the shore your waves break upon, euphoria unravelling as it surges, engulfs and then washes away again, slowly retreating, leaving you breathless, shaking beneath the kisses he slowly lays a delicate trail of, sucking upon your nipples in turn before his mouth meets yours.
“Fucking hell.”
He snorts a laugh at your reaction, leaning to kiss the side of your neck.
“You’re too good at that!” you then exclaim, your abs quivering at the feel of him, pressing hard against your hip. “I think you need to let me return the favour.”
“Mm,” he hums, shifting, cock sliding into you fully, knocking the breath from your lungs. “Later.” You mouth falls open, gasping on a soft moan, his mouth drinking the noise back in a heated kiss. His hands roam your legs, pushing them back, the action making him sink deeper into the clutch of your cunt. It’s slow, but almost dizzying, his body blanketing yours as you slide your legs to rest against his inner elbows, his hips driving against you with a sharper punt.
It sends sparks crackling up your spine, his cock dragging you, tingles suffusing, a steel-edged pleasure cutting into you deep. Your soft little cries quicken him, and the pleasure of it is sharp-toothed, biting into your veins, his mouth sucking dark welts upon your neck, each breath eliciting the hint of a rumbling groan that sets your nerves to sizzle.
Is there anything sexier in this world than hearing the deep moans of a man thriving upon being balls deep in the soaking mess of your cunt?
The strong twitches of your walls massage his shaft, and he loses himself to it for a few moments, driving back and forth with faster, powerfully delivered thrusts, teeth nipping your earlobe as your nails graze his arms like sensual daggers. It feels like magic snapping over his skin, but he pulls himself back, slowing again, not wanting it to be over before it’s begun. He could lose himself to you easily, though, much too quickly, staring down at you, hands stroking your face as you both pant against the messy kisses you share.
You clench down firmly on the weight of him inside you, hips rising from the bed, making it near impossible for him to continue exerting that control, your body pleading with his for greater friction. You tremble against him, a summer storm whirling hot beneath your skin, your mouth gently biting at the column of his neck, whispering your pleas.
“Fuck me, please. Please, please just fucking rail me into the bed.”
If there was a man on earth strong enough not to lose control at hearing such, it wasn’t him. His hands slide to grip your waist, centring himself within you deep before caving to your demands, cock plunging into you with vigour, the bliss of it immense, making you feel boneless beneath him as he pounds you with force.
Your hips roll up against his, the head of his cock catching a spot inside you that has lightning forking through your walls, the pleasure of it glimmering over you as the coil winds tight. He has you sparking and wailing, lighting up as every delicious inch of him melds into the soaking velvet of your cunt, tipping you to teeter and then, away you fall into the white-hot of your release, his body dragged into it with each flutter around him, thick cock spilling into you with a deep groan.
You lie gasping and clinging to one another until your muscles slacken, Adrien moving from you, and you feel empty for a moment until he pulls you into his arms, both entwining, little darts of pleasure ebbing slowly. He lifts your chin, kissing you softly, nuzzling you with a smile.
“You look so pretty when you come,” he whispers, kissing the tip of your nose. “Might have to make you a few more times, so I get to watch it over and over.”
After a while of dozing and restful cuddling, he does.

Me prefering movie!Gabriel over show!Gabriel isn’t as simple as “one is redeemable and one isn’t“.
I love morally corrupt villains as much as the next person, my problem is how the show keeps acting like Gabriel is still redeemable, while his actions keep proving the opposite, and then they officially ruined it all with that s5 finale...
Before anyone throws their “um, next season this, next season that“ arguments at me, I’d have this to say: For one, s5 is supposed to be the end of the Gabriel arc, we’re officially allowed to complain about it now.
And second, that’s not even getting into how this arc has been going on for 8 years and 5 seasons, we have every single right to be impatient and sick of waiting for things to finally wrap up. Even when this show finally does something right, it’s still “too little, too late“.
(If you’re someone who only joined the show in recent years so doesn’t feel this kind of impatience yet, good for you, but some of us who have been here since 2015 aren’t so lucky.)
Also third, if s5 taught us anything it’s that the “next season“ argument doesn’t mean shit. Look at how that argument was used for Adrien’s treatment in s4 and then s5 came around and treated his character like THAT in that finale!?
That argument is officially null and void to me.
Anyway, my point is show!Gabriel could’ve been a good corrupt villain, but they kept leaning into the “redeemable“ angle too much, so now he sucks at being both type of villains.
And I will literally die on the hill that the sole fact Adrien was completely absent from the Gabriel showdown (heck, barely showed up in the finale at all...) is reason enough to hate the way the Gabriel arc wrapped up. Redeemable villain or not, Adrien facing his father during the final battle is the literal lowest barest of minimums you’d expect from an arc like this, yet they failed at even that.
THAT is the main reason why movie!Gabriel won for me, the fact there was a showdown at all.
Even if movie!Gabriel would’ve gone full villain and treated Adrien like show!Gabriel has in episdoes like Cat Blanc, I probably still would’ve have liked it as long as there wouldn’t have been any stupid memory wipes or time travel to undo it, like the show loves doing.
The show acts like Gabriel wasn’t Adrien’s villain to defeat, but the movie doesn't, it’s as simple as that.

Tumblr media
sometimes you could swear your girlfriend and boyfriend were telepathic. itd be comforting to know they understood you so well if it wasnt actually a bit terrifying.
it was in the way that for marinettes birthday you planned a small suprise for her at school, only including your most trustworhty friends to help and join so she wouldnt find out, and said girl coming downstairs to the decorated courtyard like it was just a regular afternoon. she did say thanks and give you a kiss on the cheek, but you were still kind of dissapointed.
not to mention that friday a few weeks ago, where after a hard day at school and helping at your parents shops you quickly headed out to get yourself some snacks for a self-care and study night. as soon as you set the bag of goodies on your nightstand, you heard your dog downstairs barking at something. after quickly checking on him and coming back, you let out a shout as two wide and guilty green eyes stare back at you with a mouth full of your pastries. adrien later said he could tell when you would get yourself some snacks to wind down, which didnt help your suspicions.
but besides that, the way they seemed to know what was happening in your brain was an immense relief. it was the last day of junior year and the start of summer break and you couldnt be more relieved. most of your friends and classmates had plans to hang out with each other the next following days, leaving the afternoon to spend by yourself until then.
marinette and adrien had told you that morning that they'd likely be bisy that night with patrols, leaving you to sit in your room listening to music. even though you knew you would see everyone often starting the next day, you couldnt help but feel a sense of loneliness. your partners seemed to be going on more patrols and attacks lately, and it always left a cold feeling in your chest to know they were out risking their lives without you.
you felt yourself nodding off when a force landing beside you in bed makes you jolt upwards, relaxing when you see its just adrien still in his chat noir suit. mari is still suited up as well, dropping a baby pink tote onto your tv stand.
they tell you theyre sorry for being away so much and wanted to make it up to you, bringing a few of your favorite movies and maris favorite blanket that smells like strawberries.
after changing into pairs of pajamas they left at yours and snuggling into bed with you, you fall asleep to the sounds of a movie about a girl falling in love in paris, while you cuddle up with the two people who have made you do the same.

Hello, Zoe! I can't believe there's only four episodes left of SL. I see you recently finished Frightningale. The next is I believe Malediktator. I would love top hear your thoughts of the episode.
Lord have mercy, this episode wasn't good when it came out and only got worse with hindsight:
There are two big, huge stinkers in this episode. Chloe's "arc", which got covered in even more mold over time, and Adrien.
My thoughts at the time (and I know because I went back and FOUND my thoughts) was that this episode would've been a good START for Chloe's redemption..but it was the Finish. So it sucks.
It had all the elements. Chloe being Chloe:
Pretending to be Ladybug just to sing her own praises as Queen Bee
Making her Important Historical Person Project about herself
Getting insultingly defensive when called out and doubling down despite how obvious her lie is
Focusing on Marinette telling her she's not a hero despite the rest of the class being just as "mean" about her time as Queen Bee
Her over the top demands of a disproportionate punishment for the slight by crying for Daddy to shut down a school and banish Marinette from the city
Having an over the top tantrum when she doesn't get her way by declaring she's leaving the country despite her father being on his knees, begging her not to go
Making an over the top announcement of her departure under the delusion that her going to live in New York will somehow negatively effect her former classmates
Her continuing to lie about the circumstances of the akuma to Ladybug herself, only trickle truthing after being pressed multiple times
And in the conclusion, flaunting her ridiculous wealth to not only her peers who were doing something nice for her, but to her best friend who was genuinely upset at her leaving.
Chloe being Chloe. Chloe being a liar, a bully, a spoiled princess who only cares about what SHE wants.
And in this episode she breaks the one person who was always in her corner, even more than Sabrina - her father. As far as a redemption arc goes, that's probably the best way to start things, because this is the guy who'd drop everything for her, bend heaven and earth for her whims, who abandoned his dreams of being a movie director to instead become Mayor to get the power and money to take care of her (at Audrey's insistence). And she broke him. Left him, just like her mom left them both before.
In another universe, maybe this would be the thing that broke Chloe, that finally made her look inward and realize that the call of toxicity, negativity, and entitlement is coming from inside the house. She is the one who makes people around her miserable, and in turn, herself miserable, because it makes no one want to be with her, it makes no one like her.
Realizing this, vocalizing this, and doing something about this could've been a good start. She can be rewarded for being vulnerable and open and taking responsibility by being given the Bee Miraculous and being allowed to fix things, which could start her wanting to fix things without a Miraculous. Thus, a START of her redemption arc.
But as I noted back then, and as I note now, this isn't the start. It's the finish.
All this vulnerability about not being liked and hurting her daddy's feelings and feeling worthless comes after info-dumping about her Sad Mommy issues which were pretty much resolved as soon as they were brought up THANKS TO HER SWORN ENEMY MARINETTE, and after she picked up a Miraculous and kept it for herself, and after she abused that power to CRASH A TRAIN to try and win herself clout. So I'm sorry that I don't care that Chloe "deserves a second chance" or that "maybe Queen Bee will make her a better Chloe" after she almost killed people to show off for Mommy.
The big finale says "Well Chloe's sad so maybe she could possibly be good, though only when it directly effects her." She can't even muster a goddamn thank you for the party, they didn't even pretend she was going to change.
And that's where hindsight makes this even worse. I clocked this as a failed start when this episode came out, but adding on top of that the next two seasons where she unofficially joins the villain's side makes this even dumber.
The episode does the usual shtick of Somehow Blaming Marinette: she feels bad for telling Chloe she's not a hero, she feels bad for celebrating her leaving, she gives HERSELF partial blame for Andre being akumatized. Well, I don't blame her, show. In fact I'd say she's pretty justified.
For one, what did Chloe do as Queen Bee that was heroic? Try to crash a train to get credit for stopping the crash, which she couldn't even do, and then being akumatized? How about the fact that she found this Miraculous and didn't return it? Or let's look wider and assume Marinette wasn't even talking about just Queen Bee: What has Chloe done that was heroic? Oh one time she kinda helped with Despair Bear - oh wait but she also CAUSED that akuma so it kinda cancels out.
Chloe's not a hero. She could be, she has all the resources, she just isn't because she doesn't want to be.
And why should Marinette feel bad that Chloe's leaving? Adrien says she left angry and upset, but she seemed pretty content when she was throwing out fliers from her helicopter and announcing it to the whole school in one last hurrah. Play me the world's smallest violin. After TWO SEASONS of abuse from this whiny little rich girl, why shouldn't Marinette be happy for herself? Happy that she won't have to worry about her property being vandalized? Or work stolen? Or relative's career sabotaged? That next year she doesn't have to dread going to school because there's no chance Chloe will be in her class? Why WOULDN'T she throw a party over that?
And in what universe is Marinette to blame for the akuma that she didn't even come in contact with? Just because, as usual, Chloe decided to blame Marinette for all the backlash she rightfully got even though Marinette was the last one to say something? Just because her classmates agreed with what Marinette said, and Chloe got weirdly fixated on Marinette, and Chloe took it out on her father, it's somehow Marinette's burden and blame for Maledictator? Sure Jan, that'll hold up in court. The mental gymnastics to even blame a twice removed party...
And all of it is for naught. Marinette sees a vulnerable side of Chloe and gives her a chance as a hero and throws her a party to celebrate her "accomplishment" as Queen Bee because "Being Ladybug made me a better Marinette, maybe being Queen Bee will make her a better Chloe".
Well guess what. It didn't. It inflated her already massive ego and gave her another thing she felt entitled to that she didn't earn and led to the mother of all tantrums when she was told multiple times she wouldn't be getting her way, leading to Marinette losing Fu as an ally. All the self flagellation, all the bowing to Chloe's ego, all the hoops Marinette went through to make Chloe feel better did nothing to help Chloe change into a better person, so all it is is a waste of time and teaching Marinette a lesson that ends up blowing up in her face. It was frustrating back when this episode came out to see how unearned it all was, and now it's extra frustrating because you know how pointless it all was. All the deliberate audience manipulation for a complete non-starter.
SPEAKING of frustrating to watch, I believe I promised you TWO big stinkers in this episode.
Get back here Adrien, I'm barely even started with you. How fucking dare you come in here and lecture anyone about treating Chloe badly? I don't care if Chloe was your friend when no one else is, that doesn't invalidate the happiness everyone - and I mean EVERYONE, including teachers, your classmate, and your own Best Friend - was feeling at her departure. Good for you that she was a warm body to stand next to in your childhood years, but what kind of criteria do you even have Mr. If We Made Eye Contact We're Friends?
Because you haven't shown us that she was a good friend. Hell, you haven't shown us YOU were a good friend! If you were so concerned for her, why didn't you go after her when she left in a huff? Why didn't you text her or try to convince her to stay? Why didn't you stop your class from pointing out her bullshit when she gave her duplicitous presentation? Why NOW is your only move to berate her number one abuse victim (next to Sabrina) and then sulk in the corner like a dark cloud trying to ruin everyone else's good time?
Why aren't you NOW going after her or texting her? Why are you still at this party? Why aren't you lecturing any of your other friends about what they're doing? Why why why?
(Logistically it's so Marinette and Adrien are on the outer rim of the party and don't get hit by Maledictator's command spell to destroy the school, but literally since when has the show cared about logical reasons for the two to get away from a crowd?)
You know what sucks? This episode was fun until Adrien opened his big mouth. Everything was fast paced and melodramatic and over the top and fun - and then party pooper Adrien has to call everyone TeRriBlE despite ALL the terrible things Chloe's done over the course of this series RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM.
And because the writing is poor and doesn't want to actually challenge Adrien in any way, they have Marinette call Chloe "useless" when that is literally the least of her problems: a bully, a brat, selfish, spoiled, vindictive, manipulative, a liar, self centered, delusional, I don't know, just plain fucking MEAN. If Marinette stuck to any of these things that Adrien couldn't refute, maybe we could've had something INTERESTING here. But instead they gave him a near strawman just so he could refute ONE THING "bad" about Chloe instead of confronting the fact that his childhood friend was and is a shitty person.
Maybe on top of Chloe realizing something about herself, we have Adrien realize the nature of their relationship: that he's so conditioned to accept her and his father's crap that he's even conditioned to be uncomfortable when anyone ELSE challenges their crap. That he's put unrealistic expectations on his other friends just because of his own coping strategy against the people in his life that constantly take advantage of him. That it's unfair of him to expect other's to just shut up and put up with unfair treatment just because shaking the status quo makes him kinda nauseous. Just, you know, if they wanted to do something INTERESTING for once.
Maybe this could've where Adrien realizes that not only do his friends deserve to be treated better, but so does he. That by not invalidating his friend's feelings, he can stop invalidating his own. It could be a first step to him overcoming his people-pleasing nature and begin his own arc about taking charge of his life, maybe eventually leading into him taking control of his portion of the plot, MAYBE leading him into being an actual deuteragonist in this series instead of the semi-damsel love interest.
If Adrien would've been made to actually face the fact that the person he grew up with was a garbage person, maybe he'd take some time to look at his dad differently, or Nathalie, or even his own mother and try to see them from a different point of view. A view where he realizes he deserves better.
But instead he manages to guilt trip the only person in the room who wouldn't have challenged him so badly that she actually gives the cruelest person she's known a freaking Miraculous and throws her a celebration party for doing ONCE the thing she herself does on a daily basis with no accolades. And it was aaaaaaaall worthless.
Or should I say "useless"?
